Entrance Notes

(1) The main entrance to the Liu Centre is located on the north side of the building off North West Marine Drive. This entrance is level and accessible and has a power door. This entrance leads into the main lobby of the building.

(2) The second entrance is located on the east side of the building beside International House. This entrance is level and accessible and has a power door.

Accessibility Notes

None. This building is fully accessible.

Routing Notes

Use caution on the approach path to the east entrance in front of Interntaional House as the path is slightly uneven due to root heaving.

THE FRASER PARKADE IS LOCATED AT 6440 MEMORIAL ROAD. THE ENTRANCE TO THE PARKADE IS LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF MEMORIAL ROAD ACROSS FROM THE ASIAN CENTRE.

Museum of Anthropology Lot

THE MUSEUM OF ANTHROPOLOGY LOT IS LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF NORTH WEST MARINE DRIVE IN THE 6300 BLOCK IN FRONT OF THE MUSEUM OF ANTHROPOLOGY.

Year Erected: 2000

The Liu Centre for the Study of Global Issues, which was constructed in 2000, is named after Mr. Jien Jow Liou, an international businessman. Mr. Liou, along with his Liu foundation, made a consideration contribution to the funding of the Centre. The building itself is built of many recycled materials and incorporates the extensive use of natural light in its design, which helps to make it a sustainable building.
