Entrance Notes

(1) The main entrance to Thunderbird Stadium is located on the east side of the building off Stadium Road. This entrance is level and accessible. The entrance leads into the main concourse of the stadium which gives access to the stands.

(2) The second entrance is located on the north side of the stadium on Stadium Road. This entrance is the main service entrance for vehicles and includes a steep driveway and manual gate that can only be opened by prearrangement. This entrance leads to the playing field area.

Health Sciences Parkade

THE HEALTH SCIENCES PARKADE IS LOCATED AT 2250 HEALTH SCIENCES MALL. THE ENTRANCE TO THE PARKADE IS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE STRUCTURE, JUST WEST OF HEALTH SCIENCES MALL NEXT TO PATIENT PARK AND THE BACK OF THE UBC HOSPITAL COMPLEX.

B5 Lot

THE B5 LOT IS LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THUNDERBIRD BOULEVARD ACROSS FROM THE THUNDERBIRD RESIDENCES. ENTRANCES TO THE LOT ARE FROM THE 2500 BLOCK OF EAST MALL AND THE 6200 BLOCK OF THUNDERBIRD BOULEVARD.

Thunderbird Stadium was opened in 1967 and its original scoreboard was donated by the graduating classes of 1967. Lighting was added in 1980.
